As well as a passion for outdoor fitness, all our trainers have their own area of specialism.

The Zone prides itself on our team of highly knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced trainers. As well as a passion for outdoor fitness, all our trainers have their own area of specialism, meaning our clients are always safe in the knowledge that they are trained by experts at every class.

Despite over 8 years experience in the Health & Fitness sector, I am a self-confessed gym hater! With a background in dance and performance my passion has always been group exercise and am truly convinced that getting fit and staying fit doesn’t have to be boring. Zone Outdoor Fitness encompasses everything I believe fitness should be about; teamwork, challenge, fresh air, inspiration, drive and most importantly fun. Whatever your goal, we want to help and inspire you to be your very best.

For as long as I can remember, fitness has been my drug of choice! Having worked in the big smoke for over 15 years, there is nothing more satisfying than powering off on my road bike on a Saturday morning or heading out for a run after a stressful day in the office.  Having entered triathlons, marathons and ironman events in the past, I understand that getting fit and staying fit can seem like a challenge. The idea behind Zone Outdoor Fitness was to create a company which provided its members with everything they needed to achieve their goals, no matter how crazy they may be. The skill and dedication of our training team and the essence that anything is possible, mean that Zone Outdoor Fitness isn’t just another fitness company, it’s a way of life.

 

My mission at Zone is to help athletes unlock their true potential and attain their individual fitness goals. I refer to all members as athletes, but you don’t have to have any form of athletic background or history to train with Zone . If you are not an athlete when you first sign up, we will turn you into one! Don’t live with a circumstance, live with a vision and let Zone show you what you’re capable of … you’ll be surprised!

I am passionate about all aspects of exercise, nutrition and health believing that they are essential for a happy, fulfilled life and enhanced self- esteem and self-belief.  I have been a personal trainer and class instructor for several years and enjoy working with clients who are new to exercise (or dislike exercise), who want to lose weight and want to start or improve their running and cycling. Seeing  the joy and happiness in my clients when they reach and surpass their goals is amazing, even when they end up faster than me!   I love running and cycling myself and have completed many long distance events in both disciplines. I have recently completed a level 4 qualification in Exercise for Obesity & Diabetes to add to my skills and knowledge in this area, which is becoming a health crisis, and I am qualified in Exercise Referral which enables me to work with people with an array of health problems.

At the Zone, we integrate simple and fun fitness tests and challenges in to our classes each month, to ensure that you stay motivated and focused and to make sure your goals can be measured and amended when necessary.

Once you have your fitness test results or are beginning to see changes to your shape or fitness level, you need to review and revise your goals accordingly. Reviewing your goals and analyzing fitness test results can help create motivation and drive when you see the results of all your hard work.
