Fitness testing isn’t only for athletes. We integrate simple and fun fitness tests and challenges in to our Zone classes each month, to ensure that you stay motivated and focused and to make sure your goals can be measured and amended when necessary.

Why Test?

Performing fitness tests and assessments can have many benefits. Tests can:

  • Provide information about your current fitness level and allow you to compare this to norms and standards of people of the same age and gender.
  • Allow you to develop an exercise program to fit your needs specifically based on the results.
  • Motivate you to stick with the training regimen and review to see your progress.
  • Identify any health problems that could manifest during exercise.

 Zone In Class Testing

Once every 3 months, on each venue we hold Zone Fitness Tests and Challenges. Our Fitness Tests and Challenges are a great way of monitoring your progress and to see how far away you are from achieving your goals. Fitness Tests run alongside our normal classes, and are completely voluntary.

Our trainers will be explain the test structure clearly and provide encouragement and motivation throughout, meaning you get the best results you can!

Tracking Progress

On your way to achieving your fitness dreams you may hit some snags. There are going to be weeks where you don’t see the results that you might have wanted. You may find that you hit a wall or plateau and may feel like you are stuck at the same spot for weeks at a time. At these critical moments it’s vital that you keep in mind what you have already been through and the fitness progress you have made. By keeping track of all of the milestones you reach; it will be much easier to keep yourself motivated when you hit those snags in the future.

As well as performing regular fitness tests both during Zone classes and at home, if your goal is to change your shape then taking photographs of yourself is a great way to track your progress. It’s motivating to see how far you have come so far and that is best illustrated by your before pictures.

A fitness journal is another great way to keep track of all of your progress throughout your transformation. At the bare minimum keep track of your current measurements and the exercises that you do or classes that you attend. For the exercises you should keep track of any weight amounts and repetitions. It is also a good idea to keep track of the duration and intensity of your cardio workouts. The more details you keep track of the more you have to compare to. You will get the opportunity to witness all of the changes that you otherwise might never have noticed.

It takes time to achieve results in fitness but by tracking your progress you will see that your goals can and will be achieved.
